How to get rid of dark circles?

Periorbital dark circles or simply dark circles are defined as the dark blemishes on the area surrounding the eyes. Dark circles tend to make us look older than white hair. It is often seen that whenever we notice dark circles under or around our eyes, lack of sleep is the first thing which is blamed. But this isn’t the sole reason for the dark circles. There are many causes of these dark circles which are as follows:-

5 Unknown Causes of Periorbital Dark Circles

1)    Genetics

Sometimes, dark circles can be hereditary-Acquired from your parents. So parents can be blamed for the bad genes that they have passed on to you.

2)    Age Factor

The skin under the eyes is very delicate and sensitive. It becomes thinner and translucent as we grow older hence making the blood vessels under the eyes look more prominent.

3)    Sun exposure

If your eyes are exposed to the sun for a long time, the body starts producing more melanin (it is the pigment which gives our skin, hair, and eyes their colour) on the skin under the eyes. This more than normal melanin gives the skin under our eyes a darker colour.
